Who I serve

I have a passion for working
with the following populations:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

High-Functioning Autism:

I focus on helping children with high-functioning autism identify their strengths and motivations ("drivers"). By equipping them with the social language skills they need, I support them in successfully navigating social situations and building meaningful relationships. My approach also emphasizes language understanding and use, fostering growth and emotional stability.

Moderate Impact Autism:

For children with more moderate challenges, I work to support nervous system regulation, improve social engagement, and enhance their ability to understand and use language for communication. I aim to help them feel more connected and engaged with those around them.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)

I am certified in the PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) method, which I have used for over 22 years to help children with apraxia improve speech intelligibility. PROMPT is a tactile-based therapy that uses physical cues to guide speech production, helping children find their voice and speak more clearly.

Generalized Speech and Language Impairments

I work with children who have both receptive and expressive language delays or impairments, whether oral, verbal, or written. My therapy targets enhancing their ability to understand spoken language and improve their expression, whether through speech or writing.

If goals are to improve articulation, speech sound sequencing, and overall speech intelligibility, activities are woven into a rich language environment.
